General view

The Master’s program in the management of public health aims to deepen and to extend the professional skills in the area of public health, to develop managerial skills necessary to effectively manage health care institutions.

Admission to the Masters is competition-based, and the studies are organized in the form off full-time  trainings and distance learning with a two years duration.

Full-time training involves the realization of twelve course units periodically (basic and special disciplines) , which ensures the fulfillment of the Curriculum . The knowledge assessment is realized through various methods, such as examination in writing ( test grid, essay) , oral presentation (according to some shared themes based on the syllabi of disciplines, presentation of a business-plan, presentation of a project ) and assisted computer evaluation, according to an existing web page of SPH.

In the period between sessions , the trainees follow distance learning, they study individually the recommended subjects, prepare presentations for the next session and also conduct scientific researches. Distance learning provides an individualized approach, adapted to the specific function where the student activates , and also implies the involvement of the School teaching staff in individual training activities, providing advisory support and daily teaching, coordinating research and development of masters theses, for this purpose are being used the opportunities offered by the available technologies of information and communication.
